Bad headlight indicator won’t go out
I have had a 2015 Q5 since 2018, it has been great but the first thing that went bad on it when I got it was the left angel eye bulb. I replaced it (about 6 years ago) but the indicator has never gone off the dash. Now I’m starting to think about selling it I’m trying to take care odds and ends but I have no idea how to make it register that all bulbs work. I’ve checked all the lights numerous times. Any idea?

Just wanted to bump this.. never took care of the issue. Everything I have ever read has said when you replace the faulty bulb the faulty headlamp indicator will go out on its own, nothing for you to do. Is that not right?
I will need to buy a new OBD2 I had one but lost it.. I assume I could try to clear the codes from any decent obd2?

It would be surprising if a cheap OBD2 scanner could see or clear an Audi headlight out code. Usually the warning light goes out and the code is still there until it’s cleared after the repair. To properly diagnose what is going on, VCDS or a high end scan tool is necessary after you clear the code and it then comes back.
