After 4 years of owning a purchased new 2020 Q5, and dealing with numerous electrical issues with the MMI / Carplay and the AC control unit, ( Both replaced by the dealer along with the main computer because this was some not an otherwise well documented issue maybe) the AC expansion valves just 3 months ago, the car is back at Audi having the Evaporator behind the windshield replaced at no charge, under an extended warranty specific vehicles identified with Warranty Key U43. I've read a lot of postings about other models and years with similar problems with the evaporators. The units that are covered under this extended warranty all seem to need the windshield removed in order to replace the fault evaporator. Maybe this is why they have not been forced into covering this in other models? Hopefully this will help someone come to a much quicker resolution to this known problem than I have had to deal with.
