AU: which parts can be used in Gen 3 from Gen2 engine rebuild kit?
Bought whole engine rebuild kit for 2009 Q5, ended up only used timing chain set.
Now I bought 2014 Q5 with blown engine, overheated. Just wandering which parts can be used in Gen3?
any suggestions for this engine rebuild?

Probably not a lot between a B8.0 Gen2 2.0T CDNx and a B8.5 Gen3 2.0T CNCx. The MY14+ Gen2 with the slight hp bump made use of more of the 06K/06L (Gen3) parts in the timing path.

All you can do is compare what the CNCx uses to what you have and see if they are the same.
