Car when put in parked and turned off does not fully disengage the electronics
seems to me it is a circuit switch issue or an electronic program issue. I am afraid to go back to the dealer...they don't seem to have a specific solution. They just throw new pieces at the problem and don't seem to know exactly what the issue is. Costing a fortune on their expirements.
has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution or identified the problem area
Any input would be greatly appreciated 🙏
The first step is to determine which fuse is connected to the circuit with the parasitic draw. I prefer starting with the method of measuring and looking for the small voltage drop across the fuse that has active flowing current. You may want to wait half an hour or so after engine shutdown or last key-on-off event as some normally energized circuits automatically time out. Your looking for the problematic circuit that continues to draw power after the rest go to sleep.
With engine off, unplug a relay, one at a time, until the accessories that are "stuck on" shut off.
If this doesn't fix this, there are a few more of these +12V power relays located in the ECU weather-tite box, and under the dash, drivers side, forward of where your left knee is. ( the bottom trim panel, below the steering colum, needs to come off to get to this relay/fuse panel)
