2016 Q5 3.0T battery change
When I tested the battery from the under-hood charging posts, battery tester said: "replace". So, I went to Costco and got an Interstate H8(49) AGM 1000CA, 900CCA, battery.
The battery was "Made in Germany", so it may very well be the same as OEM.
Well, the old battery was tested good when out of the car, still hold full charge, and 60% health, after 9 years.

If you used an "impedance" style of battery tester, it will not give accurate results if connected to the remote jumper posts in the engine compartment. This type of tester needs to be connected right at the battery.

Correct, I have a Sonus tester and talked with them about this. Results depends on vehicle. Always test at the battery terminals.

Greetings, I also have a 2016 3.0 T bought as new and I’m shocked on how long this AGM battery is lasting. I have 50k miles so it doesn’t get much use so I occasionally put it on a charger. I’ve replaced my wife’s standard lead acid battery twice and both vehicles are the same age.
