I bought an intake manifold off eBay only to realize the "swirl"(?) valve sensor mount is broken on the Passenger (LHD) side. The intake came with the central flappers deleted and I'm OK with that... for now. I (we) can't buy the Russian replacements anyway(?). This is my daily driver so I'm trying to plan digging below the intake manifold searching for / fixing oil leaks on a long weekend. Would like to use this eBay manifold in the interim while I tear down the original and find out if anything is broke and clean it along with the intake valves. However, I believe(?) I'll have to replace the entire Passenger side swirl valve assembly once the intake is split open. Thoughts? Lessons already learned here?
I know this is stuff folks learned years ago and maybe long since moved on from the D3 S8 platform but maybe(?) someone has a stash tucked away in their garage?
