yellow/red, so likely one of the items powered by "fuse 7". Is the yellow/red hot with 12v? Is that green, or green/blue? Wire colors are the important thing. green could be the N316 IM flaps actuator solenoid. which should be hanging on the rear end of the IM.

The connector would never be yellow except for airbag systems components, so seems someone has replaced it with a whatever. There's no airbag component with yellow/red (especially if that yellow/red is 12v coming from fuse 7), and nothing in the area of the engine rear.

Probably the lower (22). 5K0973323. Odd thing is when searching on that p/n, https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...ing/5k0973323/ Why they would use a yellow connector, .... And when the parts catalog clearly says black. Probably by the same guy that spec'd the bolts. :-)

"Solenoid valve intake system", that's probably the N316.

What wire colors are on the plug you have plugged into the N316? yellow/red and green?
What is the green wire on the yellow plug? Just green, or green with some stripe?
If you scan for codes with VCDS, what error do you have? If something is unplugged, there should be an error code.
If you look at the wiring harness layout, what's that yellow plug next to in the wire routing?

Make sure that fuse 7 is good. The plug that goes into the N316 will have 12v on the yellow/red on pin 1.

That the G62 coolant temp sensor that goes on the back of the head? Looks like connector end got ripped off. Harness 2-pin to the G62 is brown/black on 1, black/blue on 2.

definitely i will test it out.
so far everything is good, no oil or coolant leaking.
no other codes.
