Have an 07 A8L recently replaced starter alternator battery and battery harness for both. Took awhile but finally started and ran beautifully for about 1 week. Went to start and no crank just click. Put the battery on a charger overnight checked fuses on driver and passenger side as well as trunk next to battery all functioning proper. If anybody can steer me to a previous thread, which addresses this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Ran scan with Autel and showing codes:

Looks like the Autel isn’t giving good error codes. But it looks like a bad battery is the cause. Have you tried a different battery? Did you code in the new battery in the battery energy manager?
I was attempting to start the vehicle and saw a small flash and a poof of smoke which looks like it came out from somewhere near the alternator. I must have a shorted wire causing the issue. Battery level dropped from 100 to 50% right after that happened. Back to the old drawing board
