Default air suspension O ring

I read through a lot of the threads on suspension and decided to take mine apart before doing a rebuild. For those of you who think it might be an o ring here is what I found out that I didn't find on the forum.
pictures or it didn't happen.
A few things to note. My top nut was not 41mm it is a 42 or larger. I think this shock is a reman by Arnot as it has their name on the dust cover, but Conti sticker is still there. Also how the wire enters the shock is different. This being from an S8 I don't know if the design is different or not but it looks different from the other threads I have seen with an internal spacer?

I could have done this on the car, but it would have been difficult as had to completely remove the dust cover

I looked all over for oring sizes and found a couple different references, none of which I could find easily. Ended up using Nitrile 63mmod 56mmID 3.5mm cs

Yup, that’s an Arnot reman. They use Continental air bags.

You should have contacted Arnot. They have a lifetime warranty.

Doesn't look like that is the case anymore and isn't transferable since I am not the original owner. Dang, was hoping to use it on the other side....

Limited 2-Year Warranty

Arnott warrants its products against defects in materials or workmanship when used on private passenger cars and light trucks under normal operating conditions for two (2) years from date of purchase, provided the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which parts were originally installed.

Oh almost forgot for those of you doing this the other piece of information I didn't find was removing the pins from the connector. You use the VAG mini pin removal tool and you have to use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull our the secondary lock (purple thing) first. It takes a bit of force but it is designed to pull out. To reassemble put the pins back in then reinsert the lock by pushing back in fairly hard till it seats.
Red wire is in position 1 in case you forgot to document

I am not sure any of this matters as I have been unable to find a rebuild kit here in the US.

Well, slight update, the Oring is actually 50mm ID x 4mm cs I couldn't find one so picked up a standard US size from the local HW store as a test. It works, but it is also leaking from the control valve where it goes into the aluminum can. Guess I am going to pony up for an aftermarket as I can't find that part anywhere and am guessing it is OEM for Arnott.

Long story short, if you feel air coming out the bottom of the shock (by the dust cover it is probably an O ring at least on Arnott's and is super simple to fix. I did call them and there is still a limited lifetime warranty, but only for the original owner.

You can buy the bags on eBay, disassemble and reinstall on the original shock. Complete outer case with fittings, bag and orings.

I haven't taken the shock completely apart due to it being an Arnott and the tools required are different. I have a set comping from Aerosus since I couldn't find a rebuild kit and the shock bag assembly looks way different from Arnott. Couldn't find anything good or bad about aerosus really but half the price of Arnott and maintains CDC figured I would take a shot...
Once I get those on the car I will tear into the Arnott's to see what the differences are and repair if I can to have a spare set. Will take measurements then of everything
