Basic Diag wont connect
Hello friends I have an interesting problem that diagnostics does not want to connect, it always worked fine for me and now it does not want to load. It's the cheap Chinese diagnostics for a few crowns via Bluetooth on a mobile phone. It was able to read the basic errors, I always tried and deleted them, now nothing reacts, as if the control unit has disabled it, has anyone encountered this before? I understand that I should connect the car to a proper vcds diag. Thank you!

is car "awake" you can make sure the diagnostic port is awake by turning the car on, or accesory mode plus brake pedal plus flashers.
If the car is on if you have a multimeter you can check for power at the relay for terminal 15 up under the dash. Don't know if your car is left or right hand drive for where it is located.
You can also swap relays there to see if it is a bad relay

thank you, I will try something, but my obd does a self test and all the diodes flash, so I think the OBD box is working. rather, I have the feeling that the engine control unit simply doesn't seem to accept it or I don't know. like it's a Chinese obd, but once my car didn't want to start and it helped me

VCDS is a scanner that is known to work with Audis. I don't know much about OBD's but I have heard they don't always work with Audis, and don't always provide the full functionality of VCDS. Bottom line your OBD may be working fine but it may not know how to connect with Audis. If you plan to keep the car for any length of time, an investment in VCDS is money well spent.

I have both and use VCDS more but keep the ODBEleven dongle in the car all the time as a backup. I think they both can do similar things but its my feeling that VCDS is the more professional tool. If price is a big factor for you, then yes by all means use ODBEleven. You won't be disappointed.
