Amp Failure?
Wanted to get forum feedback on the issue. Thanks.
Path in VCDS is open VCDS app, select Applications button, then the Optical Bus Diagnostics button, and give it a minute or two and it will show you a health report on the Optical Bus System (Infotainment system, basically). I added this to my normal monthly 'preventative' scan of my Q7 just to help me identify any problem areas in the infotainment system.
If it is the amp going out, then you can send off the original amp for repair and reuse it plug-n-play, no problemo. If you buy a new/used amp, then it will require the security coding connection to the mothership in Germany, so another couple hundred dollars labor cost via an Audi Stealer, or perhaps you can locate a workshop nearby that has the ODIS system that allows for this connection/coding to occur, which probably cost less than Audi.

That is, of course, if the amplifier is the underlying issue.
The sunroof drains in rear are an extremely common issue though. Mine was leaking from left rear sunroof drain, which is a little easier to spot the water on that left side below cargo floor, as there's not much in that area to conceal it. Finding that water definitely motivated me to learn how to fix the issue and get busy on it. My amp is mounted in tire well area on that left side, so that lit a fire under me.
