Default Q7 transmission adaptation

Hi fellows does anyone know how to do the transmission adaptation or clutch recalibration on Q7 2010 4.2 diesel using VCDS?

The internet can answer basic questions without any context...you just have to search.

One of the best and simplest things you can do on an older Audi Q7 is to recalibrate the drive-by-wire throttle pedal and clear the transmissions learning memory, etc. This doesn't require a scan tool; just following a simple procedure in car using throttle pedal and ignition key, etc. If you shared more....

Via VCDS, you can go to Transmission module, then review the adaptations and basic settings available. In most cases you'll have to use the security access button before you'll be able to use specific adaptations or basic settings options, but it'll let you look at them first just to see what's there.

If you haven't used the VCDS for anything like this prior, suggest you watch a video online of doing adaptations using VCDS, etc. If you do reset/adapt your tranny, then there's a learning drive cycle that follows that reset to allow the car to relearn the correct engagement of clutch packs, etc., and it's not about going fast or pedal to the metal (which is silly in a TDI anyhow), so read up on it/do your research.

Yeah, adapting gear suppression, so that the actual gear number your using shows rather than D!
Best mod ever, especially for towing and actually should just be common sense to come that way from the factory!
