Default Drive shaft removal

I'm dropping the engine and transmission out of the bottom of the q7. Only concern is how to disconnect the drive shaft from the diffential and transfer case. I removed the bracket in middle of the shaft but I'm concerned that there are clips holding the drive shaft to the transfer case.. how do I disconnect the shaft to lower subframe with engine, transmission and transfer case attached. Without breaking the drive shaft.

No there are no visible bolt or claps. Is the middle is a bracket with bearing and a plate with about 5 bolts to stop axel from dropping....I didn't remove the plate. At front end, transmission output, there is a shroud i removed with 4 bolts however this seems like a safety item if the drive shaft slide off the output shaft / spline.

Honestly, I'm not sure the transfer case needs to come out in order to drop the engine, so be sure you know what you are doing. AFAIK, the engine & tranny need to come out as a unit, and then be separated to work on the engine, etc. but beyond that....????

Thanks everyone. The videos were dead on. I just needed to apply a bit more force. The is the first time I've work on an Audi and it is quite a lesson. The problem is the valves and I never thought I'd have to lower the sub frame with engine and granny to do the work.

You used granny for this?! Dang, that's a major procedure, for sure.

Once you get that separated what's the trick to pull the driveshaft out? Is there a clip somewhere that need to be removed to pull the shaft out of the race?
