Coolant leak no idea where it's coming from or where it's going to now
I have 06 audi a8l quattro 4.2l v8 bgk engine. A coolant leak started and I can not find where it's leaking from I have to top off coolant every 2 to 3 days it does not leak while I'm driving only after parked for a while it was leaving puddles under my car dripping from somewhere above alternator running down onto of oil pan and off passenger side and some drop off the alternator now it's leaking but no puddles under the car so I'm not sire where the coolant is even going to now does any one have any ideas It is 188304miles I thought maybe was the coolant pip in the oil filter housing but not sure

Dealing with that in my TDI at the moment. In my case, it’s the oil cooler (located in the valley of the engine).
The leak developed quickly and was substantial, similar to what you’re describing. I don’t know how similar the topology of the 3.0 TDI is to your engine, but mine too was leaking from somewhere above the alternator.
