2015 tdi q7 on BaT
It sure is pretty though...but at 99k miles, it is just about to the mileage where the expensive emissions related stuff starts to break and/or leak coolant into the engine valley. Drama and engine/emissions expenses await that buyer for sure. LOL!
From the Carfax records, it should have residual TDI warranty on it till June 2025, as it sold/delivered approx June 2 2015. The good news and the bad news is that the Gen 2 TDI motor tends to develop the typical coolant leaks a bit later, and some of that is related to the more extensive TDI fix process on the Gen 2 TDI motors/emissions systems. This Q7 got 'emissions fixed' around 23k miles on it in 2017, IIRC, and I think it'll be a super great car for somebody who knows what they are buying into. Not so much for someone who doesn't know.
So if anyone out there is looking for a really clean 2015 TDI Prestige (tow package accessory kit added), and with a light colored interior (kinda rare), and the near ubiquitous Orca Black metallic exterior paint (It grows on you), well this is your Q7 to bid on!!!
Honestly, if I were looking for a Q7 Prestige trim on steel suspension, then I'd be watching this auction to see what happens with the price. It's at $6500 w/two days bidding time remaining. There's gonna be multiple interested parties waiting to bid until the last moments on this one.
If I bought it, then the very first thing I'd do is change out all the driveline lubricants and also power steering/hydraulic fluid, LOL!
It's a safe bet none of those has ever been touched.Good luck if you are bidding on this one! I've got basically the same car with the Gen 1 TDI motor (Malone Tuned) and black on black leather, but with upgraded B&O sound system, and I absolutely 100% love it. Just add some good AT tires and go have an adventure! You just need to know how to DIY and what goes wrong with these, or plan to spend around $4-5k USD to buy an add-on service contract from Fidelity or other provider of used car service contracts to limit your financial exposure once that TDI warranty runs out this Summer.
As used cars go, even with buying an add-on service contract, it's still an excellent choice to buy the TDI...it's fabulous and Malone/Tunezilla has ECU and TCU tunes to get rid of the dieselgate dumb-downs and restore it to what it should be.

We paid $19k for our '15 TDI back in 2021, and that was really a steal for it at the time with only 93k miles, air susp, and good bit of the warranty remaining. Patience wins the day when it comes to car buying. Find what you truly want.
