2007 Audi Q7 trouble code: transmision friction element
Go look up the trouble code before you stress on this too much; the P-code is less specific, so you might focus first on just the bold section below with key words Audi Q7 error code in front of it.
009987 - Transmission Friction Element / Clutch D P2703 - 000 - Apply Time Implausible
Unfortunately, Audi de-listed the entire driveline on this car from it's periodic/preventative maintenance services table...saying they are sealed with lifetime lubricants and non-serviceable. The outcome of their deception is that most used Q7s out there have never had driveline lubricants changed/serviced. I've even taken one of ours to a general automotive repair shop where they looked up the car model (Audi's guidance), then told me it required no servicing.
That's all a big sham; Everything on this car is 100% serviceable for drain/fill on the driveline lubricants, and the trans you can drop the pan just like any other normal transmission to get max fluid out and change/service the transmission filter element, which could also be a problem if it's never been changed, etc.
If you but look up the exact trouble code from the transmission module, it'll list probable/possible causes for the error code. Even when the fluid has been serviced properly, you can still receive a code like this simply from the filter not being installed correctly. Here's an example:

As we know zero about the history of your Q7 transmission services, this is where you start, or you take it to a good, local transmission shop to diagnosis it for you, but do the research first so you understand the issue and most likely solutions.
