Default 2007 Audi Q7 trouble code: transmision friction element

I have a 2007 audi Q7. i had it for several months with no issues exept maybe a weak battery. it acts like its in limp mode or the TCM has issues. it happened all at once. it started slipping while in drive and within minutes it wouldnt go at all. ive recently gotten ross tech OBDII software with laptop interface. ive taken videos of the time i spent clearing codes and getting the dashboard to act somewhat normal. ill add the codes its now showing i cant seem to get rid of. does anyone know anything that could help me. ive been waiting a long time to get my car back on the road. im not too familiar with audi. but i did enjoy the way this machine drove and handled. Could i get some pointers or ideas on what to do next

You've got 161k miles on your 2007's 6spd tranny, so it mainly comes down to a series of question and fact checks, such as has the transmission been serviced or not? Is the ATF fluid level correct? Are there any ATF leaks from trans or the trans fluid cooler system?...and others, as you'll see. It may be an easy fix, like with low ATF levels or old/dirty ATF fluid causing problems, but it could also be on the other end of the spectrum where parts/solenoids, etc. may be required due to a lack of servicing the transmission fluid.

Go look up the trouble code before you stress on this too much; the P-code is less specific, so you might focus first on just the bold section below with key words Audi Q7 error code in front of it.
009987 - Transmission Friction Element / Clutch D P2703 - 000 - Apply Time Implausible

Unfortunately, Audi de-listed the entire driveline on this car from it's periodic/preventative maintenance services table...saying they are sealed with lifetime lubricants and non-serviceable. The outcome of their deception is that most used Q7s out there have never had driveline lubricants changed/serviced. I've even taken one of ours to a general automotive repair shop where they looked up the car model (Audi's guidance), then told me it required no servicing.

That's all a big sham; Everything on this car is 100% serviceable for drain/fill on the driveline lubricants, and the trans you can drop the pan just like any other normal transmission to get max fluid out and change/service the transmission filter element, which could also be a problem if it's never been changed, etc.

If you but look up the exact trouble code from the transmission module, it'll list probable/possible causes for the error code. Even when the fluid has been serviced properly, you can still receive a code like this simply from the filter not being installed correctly. Here's an example:

As we know zero about the history of your Q7 transmission services, this is where you start, or you take it to a good, local transmission shop to diagnosis it for you, but do the research first so you understand the issue and most likely solutions.
