Default Water ingress from unknown source?

So about a year ago my car was broken into. I have video of it, they broke the rear passenger door window and hopped through it. I had it fixed and no problem. However, ever since I had it fixed, water is coming into my car from an unknown source. It's wetting the floor boards, and I just went to retrieve something from next to the spare tire and it was soaked in the spare tire wheel well. In fact, there was about 3 inches of standing water there. I pumped it out, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where this water is coming in from. There's no sign of water damage or staining around the headliner, and I cannot imagine that the door is leaking enough to seep into the spare tire well...

Someone please help me figure this out. My gorgeous Audi is molding...

Likely the rear sunroof drain(s). It doesn't typically cause staining or wetness on the headliner, but the water does follow the tube down into the side panel and then finds its way onto the floor and into the spare tire well.

That sounds logical. I'll give it a look. Do you think this could be coming from the main panoramic roof? I'm also seeing molding on the seatbelts, all rows.

Heads-up! You got some work to do, and it should start with buying dessicant hangar bags like you'd put into a closet...the big ones; put the whole box of them into your car (open each first) to pull the moisture out of it. There's thick insulation beneath the carpet on this car all throughout, so vacuum and sop up what you can, but you'll need to use all the tools you have available, and as quickly as possible. Make sure the A/C indicator is lit as that will help to pull out excess moisture...engage the recirculate button will help to dry it out it much faster, but be sure to check your HVAC drains are working front/rear if you got 4zone HVAC system...you can eyeball those dripping beneath the car while running A/C; left rear just behind wheel...front right, behind wheel and bit inboard. If those are not steady dripping with A/C on where you can visually verify beneath the car, then have to review drains inside car.

You need to lookup KNOWN issues for the 4L Audi Q7 series (impacts to all of them).

Front Plenum drains beneath windshield both sides get plugged up. (damage to ECU /other electronics modules...water enters front of passenger area/wet carpets in front.)

Front HVAC condensate drain can get plugged up (water in front of car)

Front sunroof drain tubes can leak in the A-pillar joint...water in front of car, etc. (not as common, but it can happen)

The Frigging REAR SUNROOF DRAINS!!!!
These always leak at some point; two drain hoses, one on rear each side of rear sunroof; the hose shrinks/deforms inside silcone connector piece they used, and allows water to escape/run down the drain pipe till it falls off, where it just happens to drip directly over your BOSE Audio amplifier/controller unit where there is a vent hole in the plastic trip above it (right side, rear). The left drain hose typically is what fills up your tire well area, and will endanger the amp from the B&O sound system if you have that one. Either or both of these can be leaking water, but if you got the Bose system you hope it's the left rear drain connect leaking rather than the one on the right leaking, as that one often gets expensive.

Can you tell me WHERE these drain hoses on the rear sunroof are? I will start there. Do I need to pull the headliner?

Also, I have a giant dehumidifier with pump. I dont need dessicants, I will use my actual dehumidifier.

Best advice is to search for exist archival threads on rear sunroof drains, and also lookup some Youtube videos on topic for the 4L Q7 to understand how things release /removal, and what's gotta come off to access the drains, then how exactly to correct the issue, as more than one option exists.

I'd say if all your carpets in front of car are wet, then you got multiple issues going on, as water from rear sunroof stays very localized to the rear cargo area and tire well only. Since you live in a very rainy area, be sure those plenum drains below windshield are clear...there's a little rubber duck-bill type gate-keeper on those drains to keep bugs out, so leaves/junk gets trapped in there...both sides. Many owners just pull off the duck-bills on the plenum drains, but it's a process to get at them. When I wash my car, always look under car to check those drains when rinse my windshield off to be sure they are flowing well.

A starting point for all the things that go wrong on every 4L Q7:

looks like facelift q7 have those plugs removed entirelly, as confirmed by fellow member few days ago and myself.
I took mine to Audi for sunroof drain cleaning, and they are completelly incapable of doing it. I spent 5 hours there TEACHING them what and where to look and what to do for the love of god

You might remember just how old your Q7 is...mine's 15 yrs young-ish and @ 130k miles, it's a facelift Q7, and I still have my drain-ducks in place; I just keep an eye out to be sure they run clean. I also tape off the side panel on driver's side to keep the majority of leaves and gunk from getting in there to start with. That appears as quite effective. If you've got a used Q7 10-15yrs old now, it's probably about even odds that some owner prior has removed those rubber-duckies from the plenum drains, as this is a well known issue, and certainly if your car has experienced it, then you'd just pull those little buggers off there...wouldn't you?
