Baffled with Particulate matter sensor location
I have been pulling my hair out trying to find where exactly the Particulate Matter Sensor is on my Q7, s-line 2014 tdi. I have scoured the net for days.
Anybody out there in the know? Many thanks.
Nicolas
If you have a fault code that would be extremely helpful.
The air quality 'sniffer' sensor for the HVAC is located beneath the windshield...it's a fairly common part to fail, but all it really does is turn on the recirculation function for the HVAC automatically...that's it; nice to have, but not anything to worry about.
The DPF has a pressure differential sensor, located at extreme rear of the engine bay in middle/on firewall, where it connects to the two pipes from the DPF, etc. This is just some general info as it is unclear exactly what you need help locating and why.
In a scantool, Engine Module (Module 1) the live data view, and you'll find the data on the DPF begins around channel 95, with the ash loading data in like channel 104 or 105, IIRC, and how long it's been since last regen is right after that dataset.
Hope this helps, and be very specific when asking for remote help.
Good luck!!!
