A simple Hello as a new member would help you started as well.
there is transfer case oil, and differential oil. Both have been discussed NUMEROUS times on forum, use search option prior to opening new topics after registering.
Transfer case and differential case are NOT interchangable and are completelly different specifications fluids.
In example:
My '10 Q7 specifies to use (in Xfer case) the same ATF fluid that goes into the 6spd tranny. However, on our '15 Q7 w/8spd tranny, it specified to use the dedicated Xfer case oil, which is avail as overpriced OE or aftermarket from several excellent, German fluid/lubricant manufacturers. Pretty sure I used Ravenol product, but that was years ago. Just go to the Liqui Moly fluid finder or Ravenol fluid finder, or somebody's fluid finder, put in your car data, and see what it tells you.
