Question about bi-xenon headlight upgrade
Hello!
Has anyone here fitted different bi-xenon projector like evo xr-2.0 in their Q7 headlamps. I've done this projector swap on 2 of my C6 which was just a simple plug&play and the results are awesome with nightbreaker bulbs. On Q7 it seems to be alot different and i haven't found any posts about it too.

Right after got our first Q7 in 2019 I looked around for upgrade solutions, as even with new bulbs the bi-xenon aren't great, which is because of the projectors in them being US-spec rather than the E-codes they get most everywhere else except North America.
I did find videos showing how to do the projector swap and lots of sites online that sell the 'upgrade' HID projectors for better lighting performance. I don't remember offhand which projector it was...probably Hella, but it was name-brand version 2.0, etc. I'd imagine if you go look at some of those sites selling them, they can help steer you to what is a direct fit replacement.
Once I saw how much they wanted for the better projectors, new lenses, and how much work it was going to be to refurbish the Q7 housings (and trying not to break something in the process), I started looking at other options. Here's a link to an excellent resource, and it does not land on the E-codes page, but they do sell them. Other threads on here recently discuss and list out the exact part #s for all the headlight housing options available. Note that the OEM (Valeo) lists under their in-house part #, which is what this link lands on...the standard bi-xenon, USA spec housing.
