Parting a 2013 Q7. What's important and what not?
What are the parts I should be more interested into selling and what are going to the dumpster, beside the ones that are not good? Complete vehicle available. Engine went into grinder mode with a broken chain.
If I can help other AudiWorld member I'm more than willing to.
I'm in Palmer, MA. Around our area I can deliver parts for you to save on shipping.
Thank you
Alex
If you are selling / parting out your Q7, then go list it in the Marketplace section as such, as that's where folks go to buy/sell parts on this forum.
Popular items are going to be the electronics like control modules, Bose amps that work, the headlamp assemblies, radiator fans/shroud if you got the factory towing option...the tow receiver and trailer wiring harness + trailer lights module. Decent wheels, especially in the smaller diameters for Winters or AT tire mounting, etc. Roof rack cross-bars and accessory mounts, etc.
If the car's in overall pretty good shape besides just the engine being toast, it'd probably sell complete for someone to use as a donor car or project car to put an engine in, etc. All depends on how much effort you looking to put into getting rid of it, as parting out a car requires a lot of effort and a fair bit of cursing.
Good luck either way.
How are your headlights? Assuming they are adaptive, I might be interested.
Pictures would be great, to help sell off pieces.
