Coolant Leak
I had a coolant leak that looked like it was coming from the thermostat under the supercharger (3.0T). I went in and changed out the thermostat and the water pump since I was there. Went to give her a test drive and she's still leaking from somewhere under the supercharger? I verified it wasn't coming from any of the coolant lines that were disconnected while I was working the thermostat and the water pump. Needless to say I'm stumped now. Does anyone have any idea what else it could be? Thank you for any responses.
No expert on the 3.0T motor, and mines a TDI, but I can say this seems a fairly common thread topic over the years in regards to the 3.0T engine...basically, what should I replace while the S/C is off the car, or what's known to fail, etc. The T-stat is definitely known to fail, so it's something you swap out even if that's not why you went in...simply because it's underneath the S/C and you have access to it. The PCV failing is most often why owners go into the valley on that engine, but there's several parts under there that are common failure points too.
If you do a browser search, you'll often find there's a parts list on many archival threads on topic, detailing what you should replace while the S/C is removed. You can look up those archival threads related to failed PCV, thermostat, etc., and that'll get you there pretty quickly.
If you swapped only thermostat and water pump, then you likely missed several key hoses/pipes known to fail (beneath the S/C) on the 3.0T engine. And then there's the oil in the S/C, which you can service while it is off the car, if so inclined.

Others will chime in with that engine, no doubt, but the search engine in a new browser window is really the easiest/quickest way to find threads on topic desired.
