Default 2019 Q7 Steering Malfunction

2019 Q7's with a Recall for steering malfunction - but just told by Audi that not all VINs are impacted. Are there any other Q7 owners experiencing this issue with their car/Audi. Audi insisted I have it brought to an Audi dealer for it to be considered for Financial Assistance with the repair due to the other recalls. Once I paid to tow it there and paid extra to get it in the shop (since they had to put it on dollies to get it in), I have a quote of $5,300 to repair it, and despite a recall on other 2019 Q7's, they are now offering no support. I'm disappointed to say the least! I would be interested in knowing if others are experiencing this steering malfunction issue.

Sorry to hear the Audi Stealer is being the typical Audi Stealer. Perhaps you just not used to how they treat used car owners out of warranty at a Stealership?

Regardless, you posted into the wrong discussion forum; this is the MK1, 4L Q7 Forum. You own the second generation...MKII, 4M chassis Q7, so that's where you need to be in order to commiserate with like-chassis folks.

FWIW, I had to fight for every repair ever done on our TDIs, and that's when they were covered by the TDI settlement warranty. That's because the dealerships are only in it for the money and how much they can drain your wallet by any means they can, even if it means lying about recalls and/or warranty coverage, or completely fabricating a story to make you believe the sky is falling and your car is desperately in need of their, ahem, cough-cough, gurgle and spit...'expert care'.

Absolutely the only reason I'd ever darken a dealership drop-off is for a fully paid recall, or something I'd negotiated directly with 'Big-Audi' directly. Service departments exist to print money, and they do that quite well.

Good luck! Get over to the correct forum and perhaps they can help you out on the finer details, as in general, if the dealership is telling you crazy stuff it's because it benefits them to do so.
