MMI not working
im currently have an annoying issue with my MMI where it won’t turn on and will only switch back on if I disconnect and reconnect the battery.
i have installed a new battery and coded it assuming that was the issue but it’s happened again since.
i checked the optical system with VCDS and attached the findings below.
I have checked the fuses and all look OK.
You didn't mention which speaker system you have...Bose, B&O, etc., but do be aware there are common failures with the MMM circuit board getting damaged from spilled drinks (below the MMI controls), and also there's known rear sunroof drain leaks that allow water to run down drain pipe and drip right on top of the Bose amplifier, and it kills the amplifier, etc. Both are very common issues on this Q7, and tons of threads on topic, as well as videos online.
The test you posted also shows electrical fault in the 5F module, so be sure to pay close attention to ALL fault codes, and with VCDS it will clearly label where the fault is occurring, and what control module is linked, etc. Always look up the exact fault code (Ross-Tech WIKI) to see what is the normal path to resolution for that error code.
