Q7 randomly makes an air release or popping noises when parked
I picked up a new Q7 last year, currently on 10k miles. I have noticed ever since that when parked the car could make random noises that sound like air pump releases with popping for a few seconds, which might happen again in like a couple of hours or so (haven't found a pattern, it seems random). It makes a similar noise when unlocking. It had its service check recently and nothing came up - any idea what it could be?
You've got a MKII 4M chassis Q7 built after 2015, so you'll want to copy the text of your post and hop on over to the MK II Q7 discussion forum. Where you can subscribe to it and open a new thread, paste from clipboard, etc.
FWIW:
All Q7s make mechanical and electrical pump type noises for a few minutes post-shutdown, and the air suspension equipped cars have their own specific, system related noises. When you open door or turn on ignition that triggers air suspension and in-tank fuel pump priming responses, amongst myriad other things. If it is truly bothersome and loud/obvious to you, record the sounds. You've owned the car long enough to realize whether these are 'normal' and recurring noises your vehicle typically makes or not, so definitely think on that too. And if you haven't yet read the full owners manual, I'd suggest it.
You'll definitely learn something.
