Default Bored at teh office, opened the excel sheet I have for transmission ratios-->
Had a scary thought when I decided to see what the the 1.8, 2.8 and 2.7T transmissions will do when pushed to (lets say HP is unlimited) 8000 and 8500 rpm. All these are done in top gear (6th for the S4)

WHoa!

*1.8-7k=154.6
*2.8-7k=164.3
2.7T-7K=179.2


*1.8-8K=176.7
*2.8-8K=187.8
2.7T-8K=204.8

Let's say we're crazy and want to see what they'll really do!!!

*1.8-8500=187.75
*2.8-8500=199.55
2.7T-8500=217.60


Like I said, I'm bored. lol

1.8 and 2.8 have the same final drive

6K-32.3
7K-37.6
8K-42.9

Default you mean they can't do 60-70MPH like they do in the movies?
I hate when they put scenes like that in movies. It's so over the top, do people really believe it's possible?

You'd need a 2 or 3 speed reverse tranny like in F&F#1 with the eclipse. lol

Default What...didn't think I'd do it????
I actually just updated my excel sheet to show 7500 and 8000 in fwd gears. Didn't bother with rev, I never race in reverse.lol
