can i go with a different size tire on a 15 inch wheel???
ive got the stock 15 inch wheels on my 98.5 a4 1.8t Q, and its at stock height. can i go with a different size tire than stock without it looking goofy and whatnot?? any suggestions on a size? or just stick with whats on there (which i believe is 205/65/15)?? im going to do the suspension eventually, but have had to do timing belt and all control arms recently, so itll be a little bit. i looked around the forums and whatnot and couldnt find anything specifically like this. thanks for any help!

Thats probably your best bet to stick with that size. You could go wider, but I wouldn't recommend it. Then your sidewall will won't be flush with the wheel and you will have sloppier steering response as the sidewall won't be as rigid. You could go lower profile, like a 205/60/15, but if you do that your speedometer will be a little off, and your car might start looking like an off-road vehicle because of the increased gap between the fender and top of the tire.
