If it won't run, chrome it.
I cannot recall ever watching a car with chrome valve covers run as fast as it should.
I was at a dragstrip in NC on a drag bike once, and got to talking to the guy next to me who had just showed up with his chromed covered blown big block Mustang.
Chrome alternator, water pump.. big ole blower.
I bet him I would smoke him. He was positive that the guy who built the car told him the truth about it running mid 5's ( 1/8th mile. )
I beat him by at least four lengths.. and I ran a 6.9

Chrome has its place. When used properly, it looks good on some muscle cars
Euro plates won't get you home (which isn't in Europe) and people wear those like they just got off the boat with their car. A bright red Corvette rolling along with mirror finished wheels is damn good looking to me. What looks better? Black wheels, silver wheels? Meh

well if you do want to give it to a good home I might be interested..
that is if you just don't want to deal anymore. I would take it for a good price, my gf wants to join the B5 community. And I know you really take care of your cars.
