Ahhhh...blissful silence, wheel bearings are done...

The shop that pressed the old bearings out said that it took 20,000 lbs of pressure. Does that seem kinda high? Anyway, job's done.

A comment....

Thats about what it takes(especially if rust is involved). A 20 ton press is somewhat boarderline, as far as pressing out the old bearings. I have both, an Arcan 20 shop press and a hub press tool(Sir Tools B-90 Master Kit), and there have been times that they were marginal. If I had to do it again it would be a 40 ton press.
Its nice having them done. I did all four on our 30v, what a difference.

Follow Up Question

What mileage or indicator is there to look for that would suggest having this work done to the car?

Noise, usually while cornering the bearing under load will rumble.

It gets progressively louder. Look for them to fail around the century mark. (100,000 miles +/-)

It sounded like I was being followed by a ricer with a

55-gal fart can on his V-Tec everywhere I went. Seriously, I thought that my exhaust was touching somewhere and resonating inside car. That was until I noticed that the pitch was only speed related and not RPM related.
