Any way to remove cam sprocket w/o turning the shaft?
fixin the cam seal leak
i dont wanna F* up my timing or go crazy w/ it again , but is there anyway to maybe jam the sprocket to take the bolt out?
no i dont have air tools, that would be the obvious answer i suppose
TIA
i installed the new seal (tapped it in w/ a wood block and hammer)
then cranked it 2x to check the timing.
possible problem:
about halfway into the crank i "hit a wall" and couldnt go any further.
So i backed off and my NEIGHBOR~! cranks it when i wasnt looking and i hear a "CRACK!" but it moves.... and moves freely after that....
maybe it was just at the end of the compression cycle....
so i cranked it after that and it sounded ok (w/ nothing connected)
Im guessing the ratchet made the sound when it skips a cog ....
theres no way anything could have went wrong when cranking by hand right?
