Upgrades and soul searching 2001 A4 1.8T QMS
Same deal as everyone else...I want more power.
I just got chipped a few weeks ago - loving it!
Let's say I wanted to spend $2k next year on upgrades (outside of normal maintenance, tires, brakes (maybe A8 next year)).
Where can I go?
It is my daily driver, I have the Sport Package and have no real complaints about the handling. I'll likely never track it. Prefer a better, more responsive low end (torque).
The way I see it, K04 is not worth anything on the 2001s. If I go T28 or better, I'm likely looking at $7-$10k in upgrades (for a solid kit) - not going to happen. (say $5k for APR kit, add in install, FMIC, Exhaust, Clutch)
So where do I go from here? I'm thinking I just enjoy what I've got at the moment unless I want to shell out an additional $10k?

FWIW, upgrading the exhaust will reduce the low end torque slightly
assuming a pipe larger than stock for the upgrade (true of all the usual aftermarket exhausts).
