Shocks?
This lead me belive that the right rear shock has gone or is on its way out.
1.) This car has shocks on the front and back right?
2.) What upgrades would you guys recommend? Blistein?
3.) What kind of a difference would these upgrades give the car?
4.) How hard of a job is this to do myself? Tell me it does not require spring compressors.
5.) What am I looking at for prices of stock vs upgrades?
6.) How many miles do these tend to go at on this car?
Thanks in Advance!
Do I need a pair of spring compressors to replace just the shocks? If so what kind?
Will it be a stiffer ride with the blistein sport / vogtland sport springs?
3) I'm not so sure
4) Its not too difficult, the rears are very straight forward and take about a hour each side. The front is a little more envolved but nothing too terrible. Check out the tech section, theres a writeup in there. Yes it does require a spring compressor. They arent so scary but just tedious work. I got mine from Sears($45 IIRC)
5) Not sure but knowing Audi the stock parts are probably more than aftermarket
6) Depends. I've heard someone say 60k and others say 160k. Depends on your roads I guess
7) Are you looking to upgrade the springs as well or do like the ride you have now? Upgrading the springs and lowering the car means an increase in spring rate but there are springs out there that arent so stiff that it rattles your brain
