Went to sears and got a replacement battery for pro-rated cost. $78.51 w/ tax! w00t!
The belt does look worn, but there isn't any cracking in it and when he tested the voltages, I had my front and rear fogs on so it was under a small load. Should I worry about either or wait for more signs to merit replacement?
As for the voltage, I went from a drive with VAG-COM and logged voltages coming from the ECU. It reported back a healthy 13.4v-13.6v so no worries.
