Bizarre SmarTire mishap... pls read
Yesterday, as I was driving down the street, my SmarTire unit started beeping. I was like, Oh crap what could that be! So I check the readout and it says that my actual front left tire pressure is 0 PSI!!! So I'm like OH ****, i must have got a crazy flat and not noticed it what with the Boston roads already being so crappy and bumpy. So I pull over to the curb and check all my tires and they're all actually at 38 psi, i.e., there was no flat tire! So I get back in my car and the readout still says 0 psi. So i turn the car off and then back on again, and this time it resets itself and goes back to a normal reading of 37 to 38 psi for all four tires.
So my question is, has this ever happened to anyone else with SmarTire, and does this mean that my units are defective? And will I be able to get them replaced by SmarTire for free? TIA!
