S4 winter shoes fit! :)
I went with the 16" A6 2.7t OEM split spoke from Ronal, used they were $100 ea.
and the Hakka q's in a 205/55-16, $117 ea.

Bonus points, identify the Year, Make and Model of the car the tires are leaning against.
Sorry about the mediocre picture quality, I forgot the camera was set to 640x480, high compression.
The 16" rims clear the S4 brakes just fine, side clearance shot below, also there is about and inch and a half of clearance between the tire and the front suspension upright, looks like plenty of room for cables, if you're in to that sort of thing. (not me)
the rims do stick out further than the stock S4 rims, I'm predicting scratches before spring

16" rims do look kinda funny over the S4 brakes

Bad weather? bring it on!

no comments about the dirty car, I washed it after I was done playing with the tires.
First impressions, no driving time, sidewalls are very soft, tread is deep and grabby, might want to get a 6 or 6.5 inch wide wheel for these tires, the 7" I have seems a bit too wide, but it is in spec for the 205.
Overall it seems like it should be a good set of shoes for the white stuff, sure I'll lose dry handling, but I'm the type that seeks out snow to play in during the winter so I'll get my fix of fun driving. If anyone wants any particular shots of suspension/brake clearance or tread design, send me a note.
On a somewhat related note, while rotating my stock Potenzas, I noticed the left rear would make a great ice tire! Does anyone have experience with or an opinion on the RE040 with the drywall screw studding option? is it a decent performer on ice? It seems to be holding air
time to add about 200 more screws.<img src=http://tychl.txf.com/s4/hakka/studded-re040.jpg>
