Has anyone actually weighed an S4 wheel?

I keep hearing the 28 lb number being thrown around, but I just replaced my wheels with 17" ATP Rivas and 225/45 17 RE 730's, and they are heavier than the stock setup with the RE040s by about 3 lbs. The ATPs are supposed to be 26# and the RE730s 25#, which matches what I saw on the scale. The RE040s weigh 22lbs, and they weighed 46# on the wheels which leads me to think the Avus wheels actually weigh 24#. Is it possible that Ronal lightened the wheels for 2001? I'm kind of bummed that I spent the money and ended up heavier instead of lighter.

i believe it is about 26lb

yep -- ~28 pounds for me.

granted, it wasn't that scientific -- i weighed my spare on a digital bathroom scale 5 times, and it came out to 50 pounds on average. given a weight of 22 pounds for the re040's, that leaves 28 pounds for the wheel.<p>--
