Are Sumi HTR Z II loud or not?
I've heard confliciting statements.
I'm looking to replace my S02's and want something with a bit softer sidewall for a comliant ride, and a bit quieter. Also, I don't want to spend over 600.00 for rubber.

I've got 'em. In my experience they start out quiet but get louder as the miles pile on.
Still, it's a great tire considering the performance and value. I've got about 9,000 miles on mine and they are louder than when I first got them, but I don't find the noise unbearable yet. If the highway is smooth and without ruts or grooves, the Sumis are still pretty quiet IMHO.

Mine have 8K and have not become any louder. Possibly the other guy had an alignment problem.
They stick great, are very smooth and VERY predictable. I would by them again in a minute. Tehy are not quiet, but they certainly aren't loud.
