Default I'm tiHREd... :) (cross-post from S4 forum)

Well, after much deliberation between many alternatives (and many hours spent on this forum), I finally decided on a set that I had to have. They're 18x8 HRE 545's (ET 35) with charcoal metallic painted centers and polished rims. The tires are 235/40/18 Bridgestone S-02 Pole Positions.

I didn't think I'd be able to notice the effect of 18" wheels, but I've been very impressed w/ the responsiveness and turn in on corners (probably also the effect of lower profile tires, too). I really don't think they are any harsher feeling too.

I really like the look, and I'll love it even more once I get coilovers on.

All comments appreciated (except wheel gap comments!) ;-)

Thanks to Donnie(!) for taking some shots, and letting me borrow his digicam for the others. I took some more shots at night that I'll share sometime later.

(I have larger and higher resolution copies if anyone is interested.)

Thanks also to Eddie for help w/ the tires.

Default Usually a view from here

(Unless my car counts) ;-) As I was shooting this a guy walked along that path, and asked if I had lights on my rims (don't give the rice boys any ideas!). No, they're fasteners for the three-piece wheel, I explained (the charcoal finish really sets it off). They look great, he replied.

(You can usually make out Mt. St. Helens from here (I can see it faintly in the higher res. photos above my car) as well as Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Downtown Portland. Council Crest park, BTW. Art Alexakis lives in a mansion in this neighborhood, saw him while I was running there once. He had a black Land Cruiser. Found out I'm sorta related to the drummer...)
