Opinions on Pirelli P7000 Supersports/Yokohama AVS dB?

At 20K miles my OEM SP8000Es are shot. I'd like to go with a tire with with a better treadware rating but not sacrifice too much in handling. After reading the comments of those who've tried the SP5000s I think I'll stay away from that tire. In the same price range and avaliable from my local dealer are the Pirelli SP7000 Supersports and the Yokohama AVS dB.
Any thoughts? Nate

I'm happy with my P7000SS (more)

although I don't really have anything to compare them too. They are definitely better than my OEM Michelin MXV4 Energy Plus were and have an M&S rating (I don't expect them to perform like snows of course). I will know more after the performance driving school at SIR next weekend...

have heard hard to keep balance on SS P7000, Yoko good, maybe get noiser with wear

P7000SS not ideal for spirited driving.

I witnessed this first hand during the Palomar drive and it got pretty damn scary on a mountain road with little grip, quattro or not. So, if you are looking for a tire with medium grip and long treadlife, go with the P7000SS. If you want lots of grip, try the Toyo Proxes T1S or S-02 Pole Positions. Personally, I have yet to try those but I've talked to people who have them and they love em.
