Tire Removal Question
Is it common to lose a tire when removing it from the rim? I took my car to wheel works in Sunnyvale, told them to take the tire off the rim, and two of the tires ripped at the sidewall.
I was pissed when I saw one rip, but then I calmed down when the second rip since I was thinking that it must be a common problem. Now I don't know. Any opinions?
Tire is a Pirelli 7000 SS, 225/45/17, 5 months old with 12K miles on it.

Re: Tire Removal QuestioThey SCREWED up your tires. Definately not a tire defect.
If you need to, take them to a Pirelli dealer for a diagnosis, but I'm 100% sure you are dealing with a true idiot.
Do what you have to, but make them replace the tires.
