Anyone running Nokian NRW's? A couple of Q's...
Is it a noisy tire?
How's the dry performance? (in comparison to what?)
I'd like to use it all year as an everyday tire and will only swap it for summers in the track so I'd like some versatility - dry performance and snow/ice dependability during the Illinois winters.
One fellow thought it may be considered sacrilegious to put them on a S4, but I'm not sure why. Nokians are advertised in the _quattro_ magazine, so I assume a fair number of their customers must be Audi owners.
Having read some of the literature on other tires and compared them to the NRW's, they seem to be an excellent tire for winter conditions. And, if you think about it, the Finns should know a thing or two about making winter tires.
The sales rep I spoke with couldn't say more positive things about the tires -- though at $850 (approx.) for four tires, he has a financial interest in saying that! However, the price is fairly in line with other winter/all season tires.
I am inclined to try them out simply because I have no experience with any winter tires, and in the past I have heard good things about them.
Maybe someone with more experience with Nokians could post an opinion or two! I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks & good luck

For peace of mind, they are also approved in Oregon and Canada for use in severe snow conditions:

I plan on getting a set of NRWs in 205/55R16 once I get another set of A6 wheels.
