on a 7.5" wheel, what offset will make the wheel sit just a little wider than stock....

on a 7.5" wheel, what offset will make the wheel sit just a little wider than stock....
so it comes just to the lip of the fender, instead of being slightly recessed like the stock wheels?
Would I have to go with 8" wide to accomplish this?

stock offset is 45mm - most aftermarkets are 35mm

32mm is the offset of some A! wheels - you don't want to go much further as you may have to roll your fenders or make other mods to prevent the tires from rubbing.

You should consider how wide the tires are in combination with offset.
The wheel width isn't as important as the combination of tire width and offset. 225's with at 35mm offset works well. 235's with 35mm offset will likely rub.
