Ronal R28 17" on 1998 A4...thoughts? (Long)

I have a 1998 A4 ...looking to put some new wheels on it. Leaning towards the Ronal R28's. Thoughts on tire sizes and Brand? I am thinking an Ultra-High Performance All-Season (Oxymoron I know) but want a tire that I can have faith in in Colorado...for those unexpected storms. The question I have is what size? 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 I have the sport package but I don't want my car to have alot of "extra" wheel well. Just the way it looks now would be the preference.

Suggestions?

It's a great combo... great looks...

But you will need to lower your suspension to get the look you want considering the 8.5" width.

I'd consider 235/40-17 tires, wheel looks good, lowering with MTM springs

or factory Audisport springs would make it look better

Most people had problems on 17" rims with running 225 on 8.5" width - they went with 235/40s

The rims were to susceptable to curb scrapes with 225s. SteveS I think was running 225s on his A4 and switched to 235s if I remember correctly.
