LM22 Running pressure? (Luke?)
Today, it's 35 degrees out and after running some errands (stop and go, normal driving) the tires were at 32/33lbs when I put it in the garage, but I'm assuming they will be slightly lower dead cold. The chart on the S4 gas lid seems to suggest a 36-38lbs range when the tires are cold. Max pressure on the tire is 44lbs...
What is the proper cold pressure I should be running? I think I should at least be up at 35 cold, no?
Thanks for any input!
I'd probably try a pressure of 37-38 for starters.
I drive 90% of the time below 60 mph and by myself which amounts to my daily commute. I am running mine at 34 pounds. I think this is a nice balance of reasonable handling in the dry and allowing the tires to soak up some of the roughness that can occur with road surfaces this time of year.
When I plan to drive up to the mountains, I intend to up the pressure a couple pounds to account for the added weight and higher speeds on the Interstates.
They are adequately stiff -- only slighly softer than my underinflated RE730s. Ride is good, handling is good. I can't complain.
I have not experimented with different settings, but I am pretty content with this one.
