Blizzak LM-22 Question

Default Blizzak LM-22 Question
I will be getting my 01 A.6 2.7t early February,I hope, and what I am going to do is swap out whatever tires come with it and install Blizzak LM-22's on the car. My question is: The car will be coming, I believe, with 215/55-16 tires, if that is so, which would be the preferrable tire size to put on. The 205/50HR16, or, 225/50HR16 ? I will be installing them on the original wheels that will be on the car.

what's wrong with keeping the same size? i did the same with my MZ-01s and the ones that came with my car.

Tire Rack doesnt list a 215/55x16 LM22.

Generally it is wiser to go -1 when choosing snowtires than +1. In your case tought the available 205 series is going to be way small in diameter (about 5%) and the 225 only 1.8% too small so it represents the most accurate speedometer.

I would suggest the 225.

How would you rate MZ-01 on dry? I know they rock on ice and snow. thx.

Have 225/50-16 on my S4. Handles like crap in the dry. They also hate standing water.

Which answer are you referring to ? They don't come in 215 size, only 205 or 225, so which would be the better size to go with ?
