Is Continental ContiTouring puncture-prone, or just my bad luck?

Is Continental ContiTouring puncture-prone, or just my bad luck?

In 20 years of driving I have never had a flat tire...now my 98 A4 2.8Q with ContiTouring Contact CH95's just had its 3rd flat.

Is this a function of the tire, or just my bad luck?
(I'm trying to decide whether to get a new Conti, or go with something brand new, like the Dunlop D60 A2 JLB or SP 5000)

No punctures here after 40K.

They rated well on the www.tirerack.com Could just be bad luck. I have only put 7500 miles on my set.

conti's suck. really suck. truly suck.

have replaced three conti sportcontacts already on another car. all b/c they can't even take a puncture. i dont expect a tire to be puncture proof but if you ever look at the conti's wall thickness, it is as thin as carbon paper.

imagine going through three 255/45/18 sportcontacts in one year. they suck. really suck. truly suck! they should stop using continental and just start making all their tires under the el cheapo General tire brand cause that's how cheap they really are.

the other two tires you've suggested (the d60's and the sp5000's) are better anyway...

I've had the d60's as winter tires and they were an improvement over the stock conti's...I've also heard a lot of good things about the sp5000's...
