I drove my LM22's on ice this morning.
No snow as of yet near philly, but I did find some ice. Nailed the brakes just to see what they could do. I've mentioned before that they drive like an all season tire on dry pavement...well sad to say, but they do the same on ice. ABS cycled immediately, and persistently. Nothing at all like the multicell type winter tires (had Guardex tires on my last car that stuck to ice like glue!).
I can't say that I wasn't expecting this, I just would have been really impressed if these tires could handle well on dry and provide some grip on ice. Still waiting on some snow, and if I don't get it by the end of this week, I'm driving west to Ohio and Chicago in search of white powder! (well, maybe the holidays have something to do with that!)

Welcome to poseurland... Yep, it is much more of an all-season tire. I wish they would put the belt package on the multicell compound. Still improving over the the W15's problems.

Maybe the stiffer belt would put too much strain on the soft
tread blocks on the multicells? Just a thought.
Anyway, next time I think I'll probably save a couple bucks and just buy all seasons. We'll see how they do in snow....

Yes, but they also do...
The dual cap rubber with the stiffer all-season rubber under the multicell in some models (15, etc.) The fibre-reinforced multicell is really good (a direct patent infring. on Yok Guardex). If it had a dual cap and a good belt package that would be incredible.
