Default Eddie.... situation is still unlcear....

I understand that you may have doubts on how/where I am getting my Superleggeras.... aside from that however, I think that I am not the only one with some concerns surrounding the size/fit for the A4.

Does OZ make that wheel in 17x8? It is my knowledge that they do not. If this is the case, will the off set of the 17x7 fit the A4. I have spoken with several people that have indicated the 17x7 will not fit. At the same time however, I have also spoken with several people that have bought the 17s from you/TireRack. What is the width of these wheels that are being sold?

If I have the option of getting 17s then I will. However, at this time it is my understanding that only the 18x8 will fit due to the proper off set. Please provide clarification not only for me but for those that have purchased them through you and now have concerns...

Thank you in advance for any info/light you can shed oin this subject..... We are confused!!!

Default Thanks a lot for the info Eddie that does help....

Would it be safe to assume that the 18x8 will be/is available sooner?

Again, appreciate the clarification that you have provided.

Default 19.5?

is that unit weight of 19.5 the wheel weight in lb.? or does that include packaging or other items? If it is the wheel itself, it seems to be several lb. heavier than we were lead to believe. Please elaborate if you can. Thanks Eddie

Default That is what I was thinking...

I thought:

17s were 15.5 pounds and
18s were 17.5 pounds.

Thanks for the clarification...

Jer - you may want to check OZ's site itself. They give weight - you will just have to convert. It does appear to confict with what Eddie has indicated.

Nice name BTW :-)

I saw the weights on the OZ website, but if Eddie has an actual wheel, weighing that is obviously the best test. They may have had to beef up some areas in late production design changes, so best to have the real weights if poss.

Default Wheel weights I was quoted for my Borbet Type S were...

from a Spec sheet, not an Actual wheel!!
Quoted 18Lbs for 18" I purchased 17"
Then I'm told they are actually 19.5Lbs for 17"???

Wheel and tire weighed in at 48Lbs
when OEM 16" sports were 43Lbs.

I think OZ web site is as good info as you could get unless someone out there has Actual proof.

hope this helps
my $0.05

Default Offset matters

Especially for cars like an S4, where you have a big offset. There's more hub material, so the weight goes up. OZ probably lists their minimum offset wheel weight :P
