San Jose, CA area...anyone want to loan me a set of stock wheels/tires?...X-POST
Brought my car to the dealer to check out a vibration that developed on my 96 A4. They told me that, in addition to slight bends on my driver's side wheels, I have flat spots on all tires. I knew about the bent rims and am pretty sure they were already there when I bought the car from them used in 99. Flat spots are puzzling as I've never spun the car or locked it up. Tires appeared to be brand new (20k now) at purchase and vibration just recently developed. We guessed it might be the quality of these low end tires. Told me no issues with suspension or drivetrain. Now...I'd like to be able to drive my car on another set of wheels/tires to confirm that their diagnosis was correct. If so, I just need to buy some new (quality) tires. Anyone care to let me borrow some rim/tires for an afternoon? A couple dozen of those Krispy Kremes for your troubles! ha ha
