Anything I need to know about putting on SP 5000s?
Thanks.
sidewall a phrase like "mount this side out" and on the other
side "mount this side in". I had a set of these put on my
car yesterday and of course two were mounted incorrectly
with the inside facing out. They had to remount those two.
My question is whether these tires are unidirectional.
I didn't see a rotation arrow on my sidewalls so I assume not
but if they are PLEASE let me know.
So far the tires are a bit more squirelly than the 4000s
they replace but that could be just the breakin period.
Hope this helps
Dave
I'll put at least 1K and then will be more certain.
In cornering I feel something like sidewall flex. While
going straight the tires don't feel as sure footed. The
combination of the two makes me think that the
tires are breaking in (see the tire rack web site). New
tires are often slicker due to the mold release compounds
used. This wears off in .5K or so.
That said I assure you that they will be a marked
improvement over your 8000s for snow traction.
No specific 'direction of rotation' is indicated on the tire.
Hope this helps!
Eddie
